This is the ultimate Scottish experience. In five wonderful days you will explore this great land of ours, soak up its dramatic highland scenery, discover its turbulent past and get to know Scotland's warm and welcoming people. Your journey will take you through high mountain passes and across historic battlefield, along rugged and beautiful coastlines and through misty glens. You'll also spend two nights on one of the most beautiful islands in the world . the Isle of Skye.
Through the Trossachs to Oban...
This wide-ranging tour starts by heading west through the beautiful scenery of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park to Kilmartin Glen. Here you'll explore Scotland's ancient past. With over 5,000 years of history laid out before you, you'll be able to walk in the footsteps of the first Scots at Dunadd Hill Fort and the Temple Wood Stone Circle. Then it's on to the picturesque seaside town of Oban.

Gruesome Glens and the Hogwarts Express..
Day two takes you over the Connel Bridge through Appin to the haunting landscape of Glen Coe (scene of the terrible massacre of the MacDonald Clan). We’ll stop in Fort William; a town dominated by Ben Nevis - the UK’s tallest peak, then jump aboard the Jacobite Steam Train. It’s one of the world’s greatest train journeys and will take you over the Glenfinnan Viaduct, made famous by the Harry Potter films. We’ll continue to the end of the line, Mallaig, a pretty fishing port, bustling but remote. You will have the opportunity to have an early dinner and enjoy some excellent seafood before taking a short ferry ride over the sea to Skye, where you’ll spend your second night.

A Whole Day to explore Skye...
You'll have the whole of the third day to explore Skye's beautiful landscape. Here the mountains and beaches beckon, so lose yourself amongst the spectacular scenery of the Cuillin mountains, visit the black houses, take in the spectacular scenery of the Kilt rock waterfall, The Old Man of Storr and the Trotternish Peninsula, including and visit the capital of the island, Portree.

Castles, mountains and on to Loch Ness...
We’ll leave Skye and head straight to Scotland’s most photographed castle, Eilean Donan* which you’ll have ample time to explore. We'll
continue further north through Glen Carron and past Loch Carron towards Achnasheen. You’ll also experience the dramatic Glen Docherty which looks down towards Loch Maree, once visited by Queen Victoria and home to its very own “Nessie”: Muc-sheilche. Our lunch stop will be at Inverewe Garden*, well-known for its sub-tropical plants. You’ll also get to take in the incredible Gruinard Bay and the breath-taking Corrieshalloch Gorge and Rogie Falls, then on to your overnight stop by Loch Ness.

Monster hunting, historic battlefields and home...
Today you’ll have plenty of time to explore Loch Ness. Why not take a boat tour* over to Urquhart Castle or just monster hunt from the shore? You’ll then head to visit the battlefield of Culloden* the site of the defeat of the Jacobite forces. On your way south enjoy a wee dram at a local distillery*. Then you’ll pass the stunning Cairngorm Mountains and be able to explore the picturesque town of Pitlochry before arriving back in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The tour price includes...
- the services of a highly qualified driver guide that are passionate about Scotland eager to show off this beautiful country
- 3 Star Accommodation based on the type that you select
- Breakfast is only included with B&B and Hotel (Hostel does not include breakfast)
- Lunch, Dinner, snacks, coffee or tea during duration of tour (there will be plenty of stops along the way, the guide will recommend restaurants, cafe, shops, etc...)

- Transfer to the departure point from place of accommodation or airport in Edinburgh
The type of vehicle employed on our tours varies depending on the number of passengers travelling on a particular departure. Generally tours are operated by 16 or 19 seat minibuses and 29 & 33 seat luxury mini-coaches. All vehicles are modern and specially built for comfortable touring. All vehicles have either forced-air ventilation or air-conditioning plus large panoramic windows to ensure the very best views. ABS, secondary breaking systems and a host of other safety features will ensure a safe trip.

Whilst we are fully aware that guests may have larger items we will only be able to accept larger items subject to space available. Guests should check with their overnight accommodation provider who may be able to store luggage till their return. Alternatively there are left luggage facilities at Waverley Train Station and Edinburgh Bus Station. In Glasgow there are facilities at Queen Street Train Station and Buchanan Street Bus Station. In Inverness there are facilities at Inverness Train Station and also at Farraline Park Bus Station.
- pick up from Edinburgh, drop off in Glasgow, or vise versa is possible. Just let us know at the time of booking in the comments section.
- there is not discount for child staying in room with adult
- it is advised to bring a comfortable pair of walking shoes, a jumper in case of chilly weather, and rain jacket/umbrella in case it rains. Weather in Scotland can be unpredictable, especially in the highlands, so it is wise to come prepared
- don't forget your camera and a smile!!
CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS FOR SCHEDULED TOURS
When a passenger wishes to make a cancellation of a multi day tour the following charges apply:
- Within 7 days of the tour departure, no refund will be given.
- 7-14 days before the tour departure, a 50% refund of the tour price will be given.
- 14 days or more before the tour departure, a 90% refund of the tour price will be given.
